QueenFabrics
The CAD Software to project, simulate and show woven fabrics (yarn dyed) on your computer. Introduce all the technical information for the fabric construction. Choose your weaving pattern, colors and yarns, and display/print these results in a matter of seconds.
01
Weaving pattern, drawing-in and denting
Create the weaving pattern using a graphics grid. Using up to 48 harnesses and adding repeat brackets you can define any kind of weave, from the simplest plane weave to the most complicated.
For each weave a coefficient is calculated, in order to compare similar weaves with the same 'weight and density'.
Drawing-in and denting can be created with a graphic grid (graphic mode) or numerically (keyboard mode). The system checks the existence of an object with the same content, to avoid useless duplications of weaves and drawing-in.
02
Technical paper, point paper and construction
Combining weave, drawing-in and denting, you can preview the resulting weaving pattern in a detailed technical paper. Adding the warp and weft sequences , the technical paper becomes a colored point paper, where you can see a raw version of your creation.
Complete the construction definition with all the information related to the reed, fabric height (at loom and finished), and picks density [PPI, Picks Per Inch] (even with variations). The resulting set of information will be essential to the preparation of the warping machines, looms, and weft feeders.
03
Colors and Color Cards
Create your color database using a manual visual tuning, a spectrophotometer, or selected colors from images. For each color the system checks the exhistence of similar colors in your database and in the most important standard color tables, to reduce the number of color inserted.
The system allows you to use different color systems : RGB, HLS, HSV, HEX, LaB.
You can then create color cards, organized by customer, season, product line and any other criteria desired.
04
Yarns, Yarn counts, Yarn structures and yarn cards
Define your raw yarns in terms of type and count. The system automatically generates the visual aspect of various types of yarns : linear, twisted, melange, slub, with 'buttons', printed, linen. You can create the yarns (from a visual point of view) manually, using a graphic grid.
Combine the raw yarns with colors to create your database of colored yarns to create fabrics, organized by type and count. Similarly to the colors, you can create colored yarns cards, organized in the way you need. To get a realistic fabric simulation, the starting point is an accurate yarn's image.
05
Fabrics Simulation and ShowRoom
Introduce all the information mentioned above to simulate as many fabrics you need. Change a single parameter and see the difference. Easily store what you like in the fabrics database. Additionally the system will remember all your tries in a time machine database, organized by user, date and time.
Create your fabrics presentation (ShowRoom) by selecting fabrics from the main database. you will be able to showcase your work to customers in an impressive and elegant way.
